Proven ability using financial acumen to manage credit risk and a P&L, develop business strategy, and advise successful family-owned businesses and affluent individuals on customized debt structures to help grow, preserve, and transfer wealth. Clark is a formidable team member that collaborates to help develop appropriate investment recommendations, asset allocations and estate planning tactics.

Currently, as the Senior Credit Officer for the Central Region comprised of six Midwest states, oversees all things related to credit, including ongoing risk management. As such, his team and himself support talented lenders with credit transactions that preserve Northern Trust’s disciplined approach to risk management, approve various credit transactions and provide oversight for credit administration. Clark also manages the risk function for criticized loans that need to be restructured or alternatively refinanced with another lender.

Clark has a diverse financial services background with Northern Trust, having previously served as Managing Director for two financial centers, West Lake Forest, and Schaumburg Financial Center, as well as Division Manager of the Illinois West Region Owner Entrepreneur Client Group. In all these roles, his responsibilities included managing the financial results as well as the professional staff of the business unit, developing the tactics for expanding and acquiring client relationships and managing the risk arising from fiduciary and credit related activities. He successfully led these teams bringing together banking, trust, and investment services to serve Corporate Executives, Medical Professionals, Business Owners, and other affluent families.
